TENS USES

There are a multitude of painful conditions which TENS have been used for Pain Relief. Table 1 lists some of the conditions that have responded positively to the use of TENS.

Tens should not be used by:

Someone with a pacemaker (3,6,8)
Someone with a heart condition (3,8,10)
Someone with epilepsy (3,6)
Using electrodes on infected(inflamed)skin (3,4)
Pregnancy (3,6,8,10,12)
Around the head (3)
Electrodes placed on neck near cartoid (3,6,9)
